Emergency Response Plans for Children

Develop an emergency response plan for your children with their primary care provider.

Plan may include:

  • Medical information concerning the child
  • Allergies to certain types of medication
  • Prescriptions that they may be taking
  • Where the child should be taken in an emergency
  • Treatments that should be provided including specific instructions to emergency room staff
  • Keep copies of the plan on hand to give to emergency service providers during an emergency situation.
  • Keep the information updated
