Flesh-eating monster, or adorable slow-moving comedy creature; the zombie has been portrayed as many differing things throughout culture. Through film, gaming, art and even music videos (“Thriller”, anyone?), one thing is for sure: these bad boys of the undead are here to stay, as we see zombie influence everywhere!

Zombie marathons are even included in a crazy list of activities, as well as a popular trend sweeping the UK, 2.8 Hours Later, where the public can pay to be chased around by zombie-costumed crazies. From zombie hats, T-shirts, toys, and video games to, well, cupcakes, it looks like the infection is never ending!

It seems to be that the chance of a zombie attack has been taken incredibly seriously in California – so much so that the local authorities are creating a sense of calm for all citizens. Also notice the licence plate – now that’s dedication!

This adorable plush toy from thinkgeek.com is the perfect gift for the zombie fan. Not too sure what age would be suitable for the toy to save copious nightmares, but nevertheless, plenty of fun to be had.

If the zombie craze is reaching as far as the mighty Marvel franchise, then we are surely on to a winner. Amazon boasts a zombie-branded Hulk, and a Zombie-branded Wolverine for all Marvel fans to enjoy these limited-edition goodies.

If you wish to keep the kids off your grass, then this is the way to do it! Named the ‘Zombie of Monticlare Moors’ by designer Henry Toscano, this ornament is not for the faint hearted.

Made in a series of zombie-style garden decorations, including some gravestones and zombie feature portraits thrown in to give the full scare! Toscano has also designed some door sculptures, showing zombie faces popping though wooden boards. An office must!

Here’s the situation; a zombie apocalypse has occurred. The undead monsters are roaming the streets, eating and destroying everything in their path – what exactly do we plan to do about it?! Well, thanks to a few hilarious books from thinkgeek.com, we can stay informed.

The site includes sales of ‘How to Speak Zombie’ – very informative when needing to communicate with the creatures. Perhaps we can resolve this peacefully if we can speak zombie? This book is interactive, allowing us to hear examples of ‘zombie’; hilarious and informative indeed.


Import advice for the under eights.

Another example is the fictional story ‘That’s not your Mommy Anymore’, based on author Matt Mogk’s belief that when he was a child, his mother was in fact a zombie. May the disturbed stories continue in a fun- and cartoon-style basis!

The website even includes a description of what happened to poor ‘Mr. Jimmies’, who was a ‘mild-mannered doughnut’ to begin with. Oh, how things have taken a sour dough turn!
