Traverse Rescue Stretcher
Some of the most difficult rescue situations are those that
call for a vertical evacuation. Rescues
from caves or mines can present difficult or nearly impossible safe rescue
conditions, but the Traverse Rescue Stretcher is designed to handle jobs like
this. When an accident occurs on a
mountainside, necessitating lowering the patient for evacuation, emergency
personnel can count on the Traverse Stretcher to perform perfectly. Lightweight, but strong and durable, the
stretcher can support a vertical weight of 550 pounds and a horizontal one of
770 pounds, making it valuable for nearly every situation.
Designed to wrap around the patient, the Traverse Stretcher
prevents further damage to the body regardless of the rescue conditions. Six straps will hold the patient firmly in
place, there is an additional restraint for the head, and
one for the feet to prevent slippage – especially important when a vertical
rescue is being conducted.
Although the Traverse Rescue Stretcher can be rolled up for
convenience, the inside of the stretcher contains a polyethylene sheet which
provides the rigid structure necessary for the removal of patient. There is no need for a separate backboard
with this rescue stretcher. Three
lifting handles on each side and one each at the foot and head of the stretcher
allow for maximum carrying power. The
straps can also be used for lift by helicopter or winch.\ Read About the Coming Stretcher Revolution EVAC Roll Stretcher Kit USFK-OSYS StretcherBreak Away Stretcher
