Emergency Response Plans for Children

Develop an emergency response plan for your children with their primary care provider.

Plan may include:

·      Medical information concerning the child

·      Allergies to certain types of medication

·      Prescriptions that they may be taking

·      Where the child should be taken in an emergency

·      Treatments that should be provided including specific instructions to emergency room staff

·      Keep copies of the plan on hand to give to emergency service providers during an emergency situation.
